We're delighted to invite you and your Year 13 / Access students to visit the University and attend your choice of two of the following history taster sessions:

  • Crowns, Canons and Codpieces: Projecting Royal Power under Henry VIII
  • East and West: Life in the Two Germanies
  • Fighting for the Empire? Propaganda and Recruitment in the Boer War and First World War, c.1899-1918
  • Imperial Nostalgia and Black British History
  • Napoleon: Genius or Megalomaniac




Programme for the day:

1:15 - 1:30 Arrival and refreshments

1:30 - 1:50 Welcome, Katy Gibbons (History Admissions Tutor)

1:55 - 2:40 First taster session

2:40 - 2:55 Break

2:55 - 3:40 Second taster session

3:40 - 4:00 Summary and close
